ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
Conduct a research study Women on Boards in Egypt and raise awareness on the value of board gender diversity. The goal of this specific project is to conduct research related to the current state of board diversity in Egypt, including the benefits, business case, challenges, and opportunities to further advance the issue. The research should address the hypothesis that a correlation can be made between gender diversity in the boardroom and the financial performance of Egyptian companies. The hypothesis that a correlation does exist will be tested by collecting and analyzing gender related indicators (e.g. number of women on boards) and the economic performance of companies (e.g. ROA, ROE, ROI) over a set of time series.

FUNDING SOURCE
The World Bank intends to finance the assignment / services described below under the following trust fund(s):
- Japan TICAD - CG Egypt

ELIGIBILITY / CRITERIA
1. Demonstrated experience with conducting research projects of similar scale, ideally including specific experience in board diversity and/or corporate governance related research. In-depth knowledge of research design and methodology, data collection, conducting surveys and interviews, market segmentation, and cross-analysis.
2. Experience in working in the Middle East with specific experience in Egypt.
3. Ideally a network of offices, staff, partners, or channels that can be leveraged across Egypt to further help with survey dissemination.

The consultant will be a firm.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The World Bank now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Please note that the maximum number of pages for the expression of interest is (5pages) and should be less than (5MB). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
